Balboa Fun Zone

Once in the Balboa Village area, there is plenty to see and do. Aside from the merry-go-round, ferris wheel, arcades, bungee jump, and more at the Fun Zone boardwalk and Nautical Museum, there are a variety of specialty dining and shopping choices, historical landmarks, two boardwalks, the Balboa Pier and miles of sandy beaches. So be sure to pack up your rollerblades, bicycles and bathing suits and plan to spend the day..

Stroll down the pier and encounter a panoramic view of Newport’s
Coast. Witness crashing waves, sailboats, and the cool sea breeze.
When you reach the end of the pier, indulge in a frosty milkshake
at the original Ruby’s Diner.

Boardwalk and Restaurants

With a boardwalk that stretches over 3 miles long, there is plenty
of room for some serious beach cruising. Bring along your bikes and
skates, or rent them at one of the many local nearby shops. Work up an appetite and feast on your choice of gourmet pizza, tacos, pasta, burgers, or seafood!

Restaurants on the Waterfront

If you didn’t already pack a picnic, you can cruise up to any one of your favorite bayfront restaurants. Call ahead and have an appetizer platter prepared to be
